A few more

I got to thinking about a few other things I wanted to accomplish this year, most of these I say every year...but I never give up....

11) Take the concealed handgun course (watch out, you never know when Ill be packing)
12) Pay all my bills on time
13) keep my truck clean
14) learn to use my camera
15) hug my boys every day and tell them I love them

Can we do it? Yes we can!!!, Hope > Fear, and other stupid Obama slogans...

Here is what I am hoping to accomplish this upcoming year:

1) Eat Healthier
2) Reduce my debt by 50% or more
3) Find other Twilight posters to hang in my office
4) Talk Chris into letting me get Buddy neutered
5) Finish our outstanding home improvements
6) Do all I can from having to commit myself into the mental institution as I feel I am always on the brink at any given moment
7) Start Christmas shopping in March
8) Hold other people's precious babies
9) Buy the Twilight DVD when it comes out (hopefully it will have a bonus disc)
10) Clean out the astrocity known as our garage and closet

I am pretty sure I can accomplish all of these things....:)

What are some (realistic) things you are wanting to accomplish this new year??

Enabler next door

OK, so as you know from reading this blog, I am a Twerd, Addicted to Twlight.....

When I came into my office on Monday, here is what was hanging....sigh....

I have been trying hard to not be so obsessed, but I cant get away from it!!!! And of course there is no way I am taking it down!!!

Thanks Tani for feeding my addiction!!!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!!

Ahhh...Isn't it great to have a White Christmas????
Oh, Oh wait...sorry, I was daydreaming....I almost forgot it was like 95 with a 100% humidity....I guess this will give the global warming worshipers something to throw in our faces...
Anyway, lots of happenings these last few days with the tidal wave of gifts, food and happy smiling little boys faces!
Sigh..I love Christmas, but it sure seemed much more fun when I was the kid and not the crazy parent running around for weeks for gifts and food all while being very busy at work and trying to fit some sleep in there somewhere..

Christmas Eve

Kaelen didnt open any gifts, he got gift cards and money!

Haden opening a gift..this was a Transformer..he got some cars, a Razr scooter and some new movies, Batman and Horton Hears a Who!

It was Jurassic night for Christian, got a bunch of new dinosaurs from grandparents and a neat scooter with 3 wheels, perfect for him.

We had a lot of fun with everyone, Chris made some great chili! But it was one of the longest days for me, I was up before 6am and heading to Walmart and several other stores for last minute gifts and food and up until after 12 preparing for Santas arrival!!!

Christmas Morning

Luckily, we got to sleep in until about 9am! It was great!!!

Let the craziness begin..

Christian in front of his pile
Kaelens pile
Haden and his mass quantities of gifts..Santa needs to get a grip...

Christian recalling from the night before how fun it is to open presents, behind him is Hadens pile.
One of Christians big gifts from Santa..

Its Mack!

Christian opening a blanket Handmade by Krafty BFF Special K! It is Mickey and Minnie Mouse and soooo soft...

His reaction after carefully opening each gift was "Oh, Cool!" and he quickly moved onto the next.

He booty included lots of Cars cars, Mack, mickey mouse stuff, some books..and some other crap I cant recall at this moment in time...
Santa brought Haden something he has been wanting forever! ANintendo DS! He was very excited.

Another gift from Santa -- a gumball machine...maybe Santa and I need to have a chat.

He made out with the DS, some accesories, some games, some books, some cars, Iron Man and some other stuff I cant remember...

Look isnt that penguin cute?? Oh look, it poops...ahhh...isnt that cute?? Again, whats up with some of Santa's decisions?? Jeez...
Kaelen looking at a book on American Classic cars. I just never seem to get too many pictures of him! He made out with a dart board, some CD's, a CD case, a big book and a Texans cheerleaders calendar...some Longhorn stuff too!

Some of the aftermath!! Lord help us!

This is when I need to have a maid on speed dial. Its worth the extra money.

To my sons....

THE SPOILED UNDER-30 CROWD!!!

If you are 30 or older you will think this is hilarious!!!! When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears With their tedious diatribes about how hard things were. When they were growing up; what with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning...

Uphill... Barefoot...BOTH ways

Yadda, yadda, yadda

And I remember promising myself that when I grew up,There was no way in hell I was going to lay A bunch of crap like that on kids about how hard I had it And how easy they've got it!

But now that... I'm over the ripe old age of Thirty, I can't help but look around and notice the youth of today. You've got it so easy! I mean, compared to my Childhood, you live in a damn Utopia!

And I hate to say it but you kids today you Don't know how good you've got it! I mean, when I was a kid we didn't have The Internet. If we wanted to know something, We had to go to the damn library and Look it up ourselves, in the card catalogue!!

There was no email!! We had to actually write Somebody a letter, with a pen!.Then you had to walk all the way across the street and put it in the mailbox and it would take like a week to get there!

There were no MP3' s or Napsters! You wanted to Steal music, you had to hitchhike to the damn record store and shoplift it yourself!

Or you had to wait around all day to tape it off the radio and the DJ'd usually talk over the beginning and @#*% it all up!

We didn't have fancy crap like Call Waiting! If you Were on the phone and somebody else called they got a busy signal, that's it! And we didn't have fancy Caller ID either! When the phone rang, you had no idea who it was! It could be your school,Your mom, your boss, your Bookie, your drug dealer, a collections agent, you Just didn't know!!! You had to pick it up and take your chances, mister!

We didn't have any fancy Sony Playstation video Games with high-resolution 3-D graphics! We had the Atari 2600 ! With gamesLike ' Space Invaders ' and 'asteroids'. Your guy was a little square! You Actually had to use your Imagination!! And there were no multiple levels or Screens, it was just one screen Forever! And you could never win. The game just kept getting Harder and harder and Faster and faster until you died! Just like LIFE!

You had to use a Little book called a TV Guide to find out what was On! You were screwed when it Came to channel surfing! You had to get off Your ass and walk over to the TV to change the Channel and there was no Cartoon Network either! You could only get cartoons On Saturday Morning. Do you Hear what I'm saying!?! We had to wait ALL WEEK For cartoons, you spoiled Little rat-bastards! And we didn't have microwaves, if we wanted to heat Something up we had to use the stove ... Imagine that!

That's exactly what I'm talking about! You kids Today have got it too easy. You're spoiled. You guys wouldn't have lasted Five minutes back in 1980!

Regards,The over 30 Crowd

Has Texas ever had a snow day? No work, no school?

Sigh...I can't explain how giddy I was to walkout of my doctors appt and see the snow. I could barely pay attention to the road, all I could do was watch the snow coming down. I was like a little kid, like I had never seen it before...sigh, I love the snow.

Here are a few pics I got...

Chris' snow angel

This was downtown on my way out.

Once every 4-5 years works for me!

Seems like so long ago..

Check out these pics....isnt he a cutie??? So long agao...didnt seem he was ever like this...so small and smiley....

And now, almost all grown up..taller than me...and still smiley, but not as much...

These pics make my heart ache, just as pics of my own would....

Twerd is the word...

BFF Soon to be Twerd K came across a new term that I believe should be added to Websters.

Twilight Nerd = Twerd

Twerd would definitely describe me..

I have read the first book twice, am about to start on the second book for the second time..

I have the soundtrack, listen to it constantly..

Will buy the score, I believe it comes out today...

Have watched the movie four times..I will see it again when BFF Special K reads the book...actually, Becky, you should come with too, we can all see it again together.

There is a companion book I want to get (background, pics I havent seen before), saw it at the bookstore yesterday, but havent given in yet.

I watch the celebrity blogs daily to see any scoop on the character who plays Edward (Robert Pattinson) and any other news on the remaining movies..in case you didnt know, the second book, New Moon has been given the greenlight, minus the original director (I am actually happy about this).

I am not sure why I am like this, it really isnt explainable. The books are geared more for the teenage girl, parts are very sappy, especially the book. The movie was good but definitely left a lot to be desired after reading the book. Since the first movie did so well, I am hoping a much larger budget will be available for the second one. So I am not sure why I am so into it. I have always liked vampire stories, I was a big Ann Rice Fan..but it is just a good story, different than most vamp tales and just all around entertaining.

I think I may also have Kaelen almost convinced to start reading it, we will see!
Here is a site that has done some great posts on Twilight..some mocking, some serious..fun.

http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/

Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup...

I think my favorite pics of the boys are the ones where they are having some type of fit...I say boys, but it seems I only have pics of Christian...I think I am going to create a photo book, just on the tantrum pictures I have of him and show them to his girlfriends along with the bathtub pics and the ones of him picking his nose....ahhh..sweet revenge.

I definitely need to start getting pics of the olders boys too, God knows they throw fits daily as well. Here are some pics, some you may have already see, some not.

I made them large for your viewing pleasure...

My sweet baby boy...hey now, don't dream its over...
