School Daze

So, fairly typical first days of school...

Haden, as usual, can't remember anything he did..he does remember a trouble making girl who was in his Kindergarten class is in his class this year...and that the kid next to him doesnt talk much, which he was happy about, because that is why he got in trouble last year, the people next to him MAKING him talk all the time....

Kaelen didnt have much to say, I asked him about every class and he didnt have too much info to share..he actually did give me papers to sign and supply lists, this is a big step for him! And last night he was very persistent about getting to the store to get a few more supplies he needed, he wanted to make sure he had them the next day..this too is a big step! He doesnt usually say anything until 5 minutes before we walk out the door. When I went to put the signed papers back into his bag, he had to make sure I put it in the right folder, because he "needs to be organized this year. That was his problem last year." Eye Roll!! Really? You dont say! I told him that on a DAILY basis..its like talking to a wall.

Oh, and we can barely drag him out of bed by 8am, this from the kid who thought he was mature and responsible enough to stay up til 1am!

Christian starts September 3. I am worried, I just dont know how he is going to do! All my boys are growing up....I am excited for sure, but what about my babies? Christian still likes to cuddle with me...soon he will be like Haden and not let me! Whats up with that??

NEWS:

My dorky pesky little brother will be getting out of the Navy this Friday after a 7 or so year stint. He and his family will be moving back to Texas, to Baytown! This is very exciting, as he has been all over the place these last years..we will see them on Holidays and be able to see the girls much more frequently! Yippee!!!

Ahhh... the return of sanity..

Thank you Jesus for te beginning of school and the end of summer...sure, used to be fun when I was a kid..as an adult? Not so much...back is a schedule, a routine, some (even if not much) consistency...
Kaelen (being so much older and mature these days) thought he was being very mature about asking, if he did good about getting up with a bedtime of 11, maybe we could then allow him to stay up, say, no later than 1??? This was followed by Mom rolling on the floor laughing hysterically...Uhhh...no.
So, he was in bed by 10:30 last night, and it still took I dont know how many times to get him up...so far that is working real well for him.
I made Haden's lunch this morning, I needed to write his name in the lunch box...he wanted to do it so I let him and he wrote "Haden in the 2nd grade". He was quite proud of himself (lol). I was able to squeeze in Tyson so they would know which Haden in the second grade.

Christian was none too happy about our schedule change....he seemed confused and was pouty...I am really wondering how he is going to do at school.
Me, I got up before dawn..ugghhh...I get spoiled in the summer, as I have no real, fast hard schedule....I too am confused and pouty about this schedule change.

trees, marvelous trees

This tree wants to die...This is the third or fourth time this tree has fell down...during IKE, we put back up..then another storm knocked it down, we put it back up and then the last time it fell we got serious and spent some more time and money trying to make it really stay up this time....but this tree, it just doesnt want to be......its like the turtle that keeps trying to escape, but we always find her..this tree wants to die but we always put it back up!!

Some would say just let the tree go, but we have 3 in front of the house and it would just not look right to have one missing....and I love what it looks like in the spring when they bloom..

The only pink we got around here....

Stuff...

Kaelen took these pictures of his new shoes and asked me to blog about them! Not sure what he wanted me to say, but I guess he was pretty excited to be getting this pair, as had someone else not been paying for them, he wouldnt have gotten them. I dont normally spend too much on shoes for them, they way they grow and destroy..thanks Grandma!

Our annual trip to the Sno Cone place....Haden had been asking me for weeks!

I must say I was disappointed in their Sour Apple, didnt taste the same....guess I will have to try Sour Cherry..next year!

I prromised some pics of the big boy bed...Christian has come into our bed in the middle of the night a few times and stayed in his all night a few times as well....we'll get there....he still isnt too thrilled with it, he stills asks me to let him sleep on the floor...my kids are weird...

Haden wanted to take a pic of me....

My weekend in a nutshell..

** Saturday - went to Kroger and fought the masses..double coupons! it was a mad house, was there 2 1/2 hours, spent like 45 minutes in line, met a few pretty interestin people, almost missed by 1 pm pedicure appt. b/c of the dang line. But I did make it and it was awesome! A great pedicure I really needed! Then I went home and took Kaelen to get some shoes and dropped Haden at Incredible Pizza for a birthday party. Chris and Haden went fishing so it was me and the little ones. Couldnt get them down until about 11pm. Ugghhh...

** Sunday - I went to visit my parents and check on the progress of their house. I am WOEFULLY behind in posting pics of the construction. Me and the boys stayed for a few hours and then headed home. When I got home we set up, Christians BIG BOY BED! Since I took off the side of his crib, he never would sleep in it again, so we have been sleeping on the floor (lovely) or he has been with us in our bed...I have pics, but not with me!
Last night he spent the whole night in his bed! It was great! I hope it continues.

Thats it...I think I got a few loads of laundry done, but that was about it. I have pretty much given up on cleaning.

I am obviously not very good at training the others in the house....so it will have to make do the way it is!

Ughhh..

I have this post as well as several others regarding this issue..even though I still havent seen anything that definitively shows proof they are together, just the thought makes me want to barf..

I mean, come on, of all the women Robward could have he picks her? I mean jeez..I just dont like her...and I cant imagine that filming with her could be that exciting....I sure hope it isnt true...

Sigh....Why is it that no matter what, I never seem to catch up and life always feels in chaos.

-- Unimaginable loads of laundry
-- House dirty
-- Toys everywhere
-- Radiator Leak
-- 430.00 electric bill
-- Dirty Truck
-- Smudgy glasses
-- Overload at Work
-- Blah, Blah, Blah

I try not to usually complain...most stuff slides off of me...just venting

And I know so many others out there have more to complain about and I do have a lot to be grateful for...but if anyone knows of a free maid...let me know!

Indicator #58 & #59 your kids watch too much TV

#58 - Driving in the car and the 80's song (by some guy no one has ever heard of with Michael Jackson doing background vocals) "Somebody's Watching Me" comes on..your 7 year old says "Isn't that the Geico song?"

#59 - You purchase Bendaroos at Walgreens. When you get home and show and tell the 3 year-old them, he starts singings "Bend-a-who? Bend-a-roo!!" (By the way, Bendaroos are highly overated, as usual the commercial makes them look WAY more cool than they are..and they are like Easter basket grass weeks after Easter is over, you find them all over the place!)

Freedom!!!

I am thrilled that North Korea let the journalists go..who knows what we had to give them though...and kudos to Bill Clinton....I like him much better out of office....now Americans need to quit "hiking" on the border of countries that hate us!
My husband has been quietly tolerating my school girl like obsession with Robward and thinks I should post a picture of someone he unrealistically thinks he has a chance with...

Personally, I dont see what the big deal is....she's not even that pretty..jeez....but WHATEVER!

Check it!

Some great pics Vivian got of us this weekend.....I have very few pics of me in any pics (not that I really mind that much, but it is nice to have a pic of me with my kids!). These turned out great!

All of the Tyson men (boys)

me and the Boys (dang that lazy eye!)

Haden acting silly...

Sigh, they grow up so fast....
