OK, so after I got the DVD and watched 3 or 4 more time, I noticed something I hadnt seen before. When Bella and Edward go into the prom, as they are walking in and seeing their friends, the camera cuts to people aleardy there...you can clearly see Victoria, the back of her at least at one of the gambling tables...so my question is this, why cant Edward detect her or read her mind or whatever? Shouldn't he be able to sense that she is there?
I am sure they put her there to bridge into the next movies, and of course it isnt in the book, but still, why doesnt edward pick up on the fact she is there?
So, if anyone has any ideas, lets discuss!

It's almost like the people making the movie hadn't even read the books. You are right, Edward should have been able to pick up her thoughts.
