I caught a fish thisssssssss biiiiigggggg...

On Sunday, I took Kaelen and Haden to Sylvan beach for a little fishing. It was very laid back, this wasnt a high stressed boating trip where you can possibly sink and drown or get hit by a big ship after it takes over an hour to get the boat into the water and then get to wherever you are going. It was right off the shore, it was nice. Now, I do like to fish, for very short periods of time. I do not have the patience I did as a child, when my dad took me fishing. I dont have time to sit still and in one place for that long. We stayed a few hours and didnt catch anything! I almost got something, a fish or a crab, when i fished in the rocks, but nothing else.

It was cold and windy, but a good time was had by all. Christian got to stay home with dad. Here are a few shots.

This is my pole, I was trying to get the pole and the cork (the orange thingy), but because of all of my camera expertise, it didnt come out right

Hello to all. I have not been posting much lately, as you can see. I havent been taking too many pictures. I know! Thats crazy you say! Me? Not take pictures? Well, I just havent been in the picture mood and my little lens is in the crapper, again, for the third time since I purchased it. I am sure the warranty has expired by now, so I need to buy a new one. That leaves me with my long lens, which doesnt take pics close up...sigh...so there ya go. I am hoping to have a little money left over after Christmas and my bonus to possibly get a new little lens.

Thanksgiving was good, we had the family over at our house. My mom and my mom in law brought so much food, I really appreciate it!! I only cooked the turkey and some green bean casserole! I felt bad!! But the turkey turned out really good....Kaelen was a big help, he helped inject it and baste it.

I didnt do too bad on my diet. I have lost 8 pounds since my doctors visit, and didnt gain any over Thanksgiving, so I am pretty happy.

We got some family time this weekend, Poppa T and I took the boys to see Bolt, it was cute, but I would have much preferred to see Twilight again Madagascar 2. Later that night, Chris taught Kaelen and I how to play Poker, we played with pennies, it was fun!

We did not venture to 1 store this whole weekend, which is the way I like it. The savings are not worth it to me, nor is the possibility of getting trampled or shot. Headlines like that make me soooo mad. Is a friggin cheap laptop or TV really worth it? I mean come on people. Unfortunately, this is what our society has become. Possessions seem to be more important and life or the feelings of other people. What is the true meaning of the season again? It seems most of us have forgotten.

All in all, it was a pretty good holiday. I must admit, I am not looking forward to the chaos soon to come in the next few weeks, especially since I have not purchased one gift. Sigh...such is life.

I should have pics in my next post, but in the meantime, here is a sneak peek for the grandparents of some pics to come, taken by the best photographer ever.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

So this last weekend, we went over to Chris' mom's house. Here is part of the lovely pond and flower beds they put in a while back...

Christian and I went out to look, he of course wanted to throw rocks into the water, but I told him no, so he settled for rolling his little car around on the bog rocks.

So sweet, so happy, such a little angel

Then he lost the ability to listen to me about throwing rocks into the water, even after I swatted his hand several times and threatened to go in. Eventually, he had to be taken inside and this was the result.

I can not wait to show these to him when he is older.

Later on in the afternoon we had a few more meltdowns due to lack of nap....

I love the 2's. I remember Haden used to throw himself on the floor when he didn't get his way...the sad thing is sometimes he still does that!

Yee-Haw

I got tickets to an afternoon showing of Twilight tomorrow on opening day. Angie and I will be taking a few hours off of work to run and see it!! Yippee!!

Last Sunday we went to the Armand Byou Nature center for their Fall Festival...The weather was amazing and the kids loved it....BFF Resourceful K and Brooke invited us..it was a lot of fun.

Haden practicing to be a farmer

BFF Lucky K won at the cupcake walk they had....

Kiddos petting the bunnies....
Haden was so careful with the baby chick

But not so careful on the pier

As usual, Christian became OCD about rocks....he would collect them off of the road...And then place them in the stroller, he had quite a collection by the end of the day....luckily, we were near a body of water and he got to throw them...

Oh look, a meltdown right in the middle of the place..lovely...you see these so rarely these days...
