I havent had a "tantrum of the day" photo lately....not because they werent happening, just that I didnt get a pic...the pics dont do his tantrum justice,,,he was screaming and freaking out so much...I thought I was going to have to pull over and console him!!
A few very good things happened this weekend...the 2 (thats right 2) CD's in the drive in my computer came out on their own
AND
Vivian gave me a *&^@ load of girl scout cookies...
On my honor, I will try

And he was telling me NO!, not to take the picture....
Chris and Kaelen were having a dad/son bonding moment and doing some work on the boat...
Haden multi-tasking - reading, picking his nose and watching Dora!...thats one talented kid, just like his mommy..I am the queen of multi-tasking, in fact, I am doing 3 other things as I am writing this blog....
Notice how Haden is focused and everything around him is blurry???? Uh-huh...that was on purpose!!!One of my ongoing projects, my photo wall..this is what I have so far...still a work in progress..
Hope you enjoyed your Tyson fix for the day..now I am off to complete a neverending privilege log for work...

P.S., I Love You
I love sad movies...one I can remember crying this hard about last was The Notebook, which still makes me cry every time I see it....sad movies are so carthargic...I wont cry at most things in my own life, btu will cry at a movie, so the release is good for me!
And, PS has Denny (from Grey's Anatomy) in it...I really like that actor and he has an Irish accent in the movie.....oh, and he is going to be in The Watchment, whenever they decide to release it....

Stimulate?
On Monday, Congressional Republican leaders put out a list of what they call wasteful provisions in the Senate version of the nearly $900 billion stimulus bill that is being debated:
The Senate is currently the nearly $900 billion economic stimulus bill.
• $2 billion earmark to re-start FutureGen, a near-zero emissions coal power plant in Illinois that the Department of Energy defunded last year because it said the project was inefficient.
• A $246 million tax break for Hollywood movie producers to buy motion picture film.
• $650 million for the digital television converter box coupon program.
• $88 million for the Coast Guard to design a new polar icebreaker (arctic ship).
• $448 million for constructing the Department of Homeland Security headquarters.
• $248 million for furniture at the new Homeland Security headquarters.
• $600 million to buy hybrid vehicles for federal employees.
• $400 million for the Centers for Disease Control to screen and prevent STD's.
• $1.4 billion for rural waste disposal programs.
• $125 million for the Washington sewer system.
• $150 million for Smithsonian museum facilities.
• $1 billion for the 2010 Census, which has a projected cost overrun of $3 billion.
• $75 million for "smoking cessation activities."
• $200 million for public computer centers at community colleges.
• $75 million for salaries of employees at the FBI.
• $25 million for tribal alcohol and substance abuse reduction.
• $500 million for flood reduction projects on the Mississippi River.
• $10 million to inspect canals in urban areas.
• $6 billion to turn federal buildings into "green" buildings.
• $500 million for state and local fire stations.
• $650 million for wildland fire management on forest service lands.
• $1.2 billion for "youth activities," including youth summer job programs.
• $88 million for renovating the headquarters of the Public Health Service.
• $412 million for CDC buildings and property.
• $500 million for building and repairing National Institutes of Health facilities in Bethesda, Maryland.
• $160 million for "paid volunteers" at the Corporation for National and Community Service.
• $5.5 million for "energy efficiency initiatives" at the Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration.
• $850 million for Amtrak.
• $100 million for reducing the hazard of lead-based paint.
• $75 million to construct a "security training" facility for State Department Security officers when they can be trained at existing facilities of other agencies.
• $110 million to the Farm Service Agency to upgrade computer systems.
• $200 million in funding for the lease of alternative energy vehicles for use on military installations.
While I am sure many of these things are needed, I dont think you can call them something that is going to stimulate our ailing economy...oh, and I was thinking of making a movie, can I get some money from the gov't? Oh yeah, and I owe some back taxes too, do I really have to take care of those and can't you waive the penalties??

Same life, different day
I had wanted to take a pic of the beautiful Harris County Civil Courthouse this morning as that is where I had to be bright and early. First day of trial, love to watch jury selection, although now I am back at the office working on other stuff...
Here is where I spent my morning, the beautiful, new state of the art courthouse, your tax dollars at work....
I am bombarded with work these days, numerous cases all going on at the same time...reminds me of old times.....
